SOLITUDE
More than 10 years ago you were able to read the band´ name SOLITUDE in Austrian rock magazines for the first time. At this time hardly anybody thought, that this band would grow into one of the most successful rock acts of the country. Wiht 8 sound carriers, national and international radio presentations and countless live-events national and international Solitude is jointly responsible for the fact that Austria´s rock scene has never been forgotten and still exits (Rock´n Roll not Deat)
1990: "You are my Lady", the band´ first single, got the first interwiews for the four musicians within the Austrian radio scene, which was still small then.

Varius notable people such as f.e Josef Muff Sopper see the live-acts in the "Rockhaus" in Viena as: "A promise for the future"(quotation)

2 years later the band returns after tape-recording in Bochum, Germany, with the MC "Lay Down The Armas" to Austria. This MC raises the band´s popularity more than someone ope for. Followed by the finale "Heavy Metal Battle" and "Pop O Drom" in te Rockhaus",gigs in Hungary with more than thousand spectators, live-acts in the Czech Republic, as well as the first great events as f.e. at "Mike´ motorbike meeting" in Unterretzbach (lower Austria)

The sampler and the maxi-CD are sampled by former promoter of the band, Peter Jordan, to Scandinavia and Canada. After Manfred Strasser left the band , it was the right time to set new aims for Solitude. Together with the companion of many years and the fifth man of the band, Thomas Hagn, the CD"..Rock Me!" has been recorded 1996. With the numbers "My Generation", "Dead Man On The Floor" and "Hard Rock" new bounds were achieved and so Andi Appel, chief editor of Planet Music Magazine, wrote the following about the album: "..great songwriting", shouting, guitars, sense of melodies and the necessary dash of Blues..". Varius live-gigs followed among others with Uriah Heep, Girlschool, Axxis, Bluespumpn and Aikbotte. From Vienna´ Donauinselfest" to Euromusic Vienna, the band has been liv stage everywhere.
1998, when the X-act sampler vol.2 with the title "Change it" as forerunner to the next following album was released, the band proved its versatility again. Around this time Solitude started on a second project, which turned out to be a very successful one: Solitude Acustic Jam! While more and more gigs, especially those at varius motorbike meetings, are played "unplugged" with much euphory the band was working on its next album"..Still Rock Me!" at the same time Euphoric not only because the band has been forming along Austria´ rock scene for nearly 10 years, but also because of the fact, that they found Bend Sclembach,an idealist and patron, as manager and producer
1999 the band´ last "plugged" rock album named "...Still Rock me!" was relased so far and once more Solitude got radio presentations, interviews and varius live-acts. Mike Fried, a goo friend of the band and reponsible for photos on CDs and in magazines, put Solitude a giant step forward by producing a video called "Change It". In addition this song was used for a soundtrack for Austrian producction- the young director Marko Kalantari is still negotiating with the ORF (Autrian Broadcasting Cooperation).
